Message from the CEO
To achieve our mission of connecting and engaging the world through epic entertainment, Activision Blizzard company has long recognized the importance of ensuring that our culture, workplaces, and games reflect the highest standards of social responsibility. Over the last year, this responsibility has never been greater. As countries around the world implemented social distancing and home quarantine policies, longtime players and newcomers alike turned to our games to connect with friends and family, to feel the rush of competition, and to experience joy during a year of immense adversity. It was, and continues to be, our responsibility and privilege to infuse social responsibility into all that we create and all that we do.
Games have the ability to bring people together without regard for race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or identity, military status, disability, or any other personal characteristic or difference. They can responsibly influence popular culture, eliminate stereotypes, celebrate differences, and encourage players to embrace tolerance and understanding. As I regularly remind the Activision Blizzard teams, we cannot create broadly appealing gaming experiences if our own company does not reflect the diversity and values of our players and fans.
We created this site to share more about how we execute on our values.
